Mac Alert was formed to fill a niche in the South Australian Apple market. Our services include Sales, Support, Training and Consulting. Before the G3 chip, the Mac market was in decline. With the release of the iMac and G3 workstations there was a huge resurgence in demand for Mac's. This, combined with the fact that good, or even satisfactory Macintosh service in Adelaide was rare, paved the way for Mac Alert to start trading. We have now been providing consistent, reliable support to businesses in Adelaide for over 15 years.

We hold rental equipment and have priority service for those times when you are simply desperate. We ask the right questions and listen to the answers before we recommend a piece of equipment.
Mac Alert is an Apple Authorised Sales and Service Centre. On the service side we will always try to get your existing system working as efficiently and productively as possible. When it's time to invest in new equipment, you can relax in the knowledge that our prices are extremely competitive and the backup is there if needed. We always consider very carefully which equipment to recommend for each situation. We also consider which additional devices may be required for seamless integration into your existing setup. With regard to Apple and BOSE equipment we have most products from both brands available for demonstration in store and our helpful team love showing people them.
We are an Apple Authorised Service Centre based in Adelaide. This means we can perform both warranty and non-warranty repairs. Our timeframes are faster than most and we have Apple Certified Techs to carry out the repairs. We also have a priority service for those who cant be without their Macs. We are now also an Apple Authorised iPhone service agent.
Our workshop team are second to none and strive everyday to keep our clients happy and informed. If your Hardware faults while under warranty we can perform a repair in our Service Centre. If it's a Mac it's done right here! Some iPhone repairs may need to be sent away if unable to be done in house but turnaround is fast, usually 3-5 days. Loan phones available. Repairs are fast and usually without fuss or delay. Though our repairs are generally snappy anyway, a fee of $99 inc GST for Priority Service may be paid to cover you for those screaming emergency situations. In this case we can look at your job same day, sometimes in minutes.
We have loan monitors and machines for emergencies and short or long term rental. In the meantime we will keep close tabs on any delays on parts and keep you informed. For out of warranty work a book in/diagnosis fee of $99 inc GST will apply and should any further labour be required you will be notified before any further charges are incurred. Labour is charged at $150 inc GST per hr. Again Priority is available.
For on site situations (coming out to your home or business) we can usually arrange a visit either same or next day. To come out to you a call out fee of $49 is charged and the rate is $175 inc GST per hr. Blocks of hours are available for larger companies or just those who have a large setup to do and want to avoid lots of invoices. The blocks are charged at a labour rate of $175 inc GST per hr but do not attract a call out fee so save you over all. In addition to this, we also provide training for a majority of Apple products, such as Macs, iPads, iPhones and other Apple accessories. Our training is 1 on 1 or you are more than welcome to bring your other half. We tailor the lessons around your needs, which helps gain the most out of the secession. Cost is $175 per hour. We can visit you for a $49 call out fee, depending on location.
