Our Focus

Mac Alert is an Apple Authorised Sales and Service Centre. On the service side we will always try to get your existing system working as efficiently and productively as possible. When it's time to invest in new equipment, you can relax in the knowledge that our prices are extremely competitive and the backup is there if needed. We always consider very carefully which equipment to recommend for each situation. We also consider which additional devices may be required for seamless integration into your existing setup.

It's All About You!
The type of service we provide is more personal than most other providers. We understand deadlines and the damage computer downtime can do to your business. We will never just turn up and jump straight on the machine without making sure its convenient. We specialise in the graphic design industry and also have quite a few clients with Mac and Windows PC networks. If the cross-platform combination is giving you a headache, let us sort it out. We can create and setup websites, domains and internet accounts, plus update or troubleshoot your office's local area network to speed up your file transfers.

Fast Warranty Repairs!
We are an Apple Authorised Service Centre based in Adelaide. This means we can perform both warranty and non-warranty repairs. Our timeframes are faster than most and we have Apple Certified Technicians to carry out the repairs.

Peace of Mind
For urgent situations we have a priority rate system which usually allows us to have a technician out to you same day, sometimes in minutes. Same day response service contracts are available. We also have loan monitors and machines for emergencies or short term rental. If your hardware faults while under warranty we can organise a fast repair in our Service Centre. In the meantime we will keep close tabs on any delays on parts and keep you informed.

Though we specialise in Apple Computers, our support technicians are fully conversant in Windows PCs. Our associated hardware and software product knowledge is excellent. Our aim is to use this knowledge to provide reliable and effective Mac and Windows support, while along the way suggesting viable solutions for improving your current setup.

SafariTired of waiting weeks for equipment? We push that little bit harder to get your order to you on time. Most Apple computers are in stock and available immediately. Most other products we can source overnight - and if we can't, be assured we will let you know what's going on. With the Mac Alert website we've tried to make it easy for you to get the details on the Mac you're interested in and then compare it to the other models available.

Mac Alert can provide reliable low cost Website and Email hosting. It's very easy to contact us for any issues, additions or changes instead of waiting ages on hold for an ISP. As another service to our customers we resell and install Adam Internet ADSL2+ Broadband, recommending the right plans for each individual and taking the pain out of connecting.

Pre-booking Fee Want to reserve a place in the workshop queue but take your machine home with you? Then please let us know you would like to pre-book.

We offer this to people who need a repair (hardware or software) done on their machine but for the most part the machine is still useable. Why charge $45? Offering this pre-booking service requires greater administrative time and risk for us (eg. if we've blocked out a section of the day to work on your machine and you don't turn up).
$45 (once off)
Priority Fee We can advance your job/booking in our queue if you need it looked at urgently. This is in addition to any other charges. Priority timeframe will be advised depending on current workload. $90
(once off)
Workshop Service This is for work carried out at our premises in our standard timeframe. $120 per hour
Onsite Service We can visit you at your premises if you require. We can do most software related repairs onsite as well as troubleshooting, data transfer, upgrades, training etc. We are specialists in Graphic Design/Business issues/troubleshooting.

* If you need help onsite urgently we can usually attend same day if notified before noon. Priority response is usually within 2-6 hours. We will advise you if an onsite will incur the priority rate.

Onsite Travel Fee *
* for jobs less than 2 hrs or
greater than 10km from the
Adelaide CBD
Onsite service for under 2hrs will incur a $50 travel fee (we absorb this fee for jobs equal to or greater than 2 hours). This fee is charged in lieu of globally raising our prices and rewards those that book longer onsites.

For distances greater than 10km from the Adelaide CBD, normal hourly rates apply to cover travel time. This cost can be advised before attendance and is charged regardless of the duration of the onsite.
Support contracts are a great way to ensure you always get priority service without having to ask and without the priority fee.

Our support contracts are designed as value packages providing total peace of mind for larger clients.

All support contracts have a 12 month life span. Any hours unused after this period will be forfeited (at our discretion).

Priority Onsite Service

10hrs same day response* $1500
20hrs same day response* $2800

Next Business Day Onsite Service

10hrs next day response* $1300
